Joe Plomin has been behind many of BBC Panorama’s longest running undercover investigations including revealing abuse at Winterbourne View hospital for people with learning disabilities and autism, Brook House immigration removal centre, and Medway Secure Training Centre, a prison for children some as young as 14.

The serious abuse he and his teams have revealed has repeatedly led the police to investigate and successfully prosecute a number of people, a recent public inquiry and has led to a range of social and political changes. He is the author of a book, Hidden Cameras: Everything You Need to Know About Covert Recording, Undercover Cameras and Secret Filming.
